Background - Travel Careers & Training
was started by Nicole Domett in 1985 responding to a marketplace need
for a company that specialised in training and recruitment for the
travel and tourism industry.
Right from the beginning the key business objective was to provide
innovative, leading-edge training with a real practical slant. Travel Careers & Training Ltd has
continued to build an enviable reputation for delivering high quality
courses. Today courses are run all over the country with a campus in Auckland and Wellington.
A New Zealand first - In 2001 Travel Careers & Training Ltd
became the first training provider in New Zealand to have a NZQA fully
recognised flight attendant training course. This course which had
input from major airlines has already seen graduates now flying for
both domestic and international airlines.
As well as providing training courses, the company also acts as a
specialist recruitment company for the travel industry, helping
employers access the best quality staff. Travel Careers & Training
Ltd is an associate member of the The Travel Agents Association of New
Zealand (TAANZ) and the Recruitment and Consulting Services Association
(RCSA).
Award winning training - Travel Careers & Training Ltd have
won tourism awards for four continuous years. In 2003 Travel Careers
& Training won three awards including a Distinction Award - the
first ever training provider to achieve this honour. The industry
confirms Travel Careers & Training as the market leaders.
In 2003 Nicole Domett, the Managing Director won the most Inspirational
Business Leader award at the Her Business Annual awards.
In 2002 and 2003 two Travel Careers & Training students won the
NZITT (New Zealand Institute of Travel and Tourism) Most Promising
Student Awards.
In 2008 Travel Careers & Training again winners at the Toursim Awards, in the Business Awards section for Tourism Service Provider.
Added value - Travel Careers & Training Ltd is committed to
providing an innovative yet practical educational experience. This core
principle shows through in the "added value" factor present in all
Travel Careers & Training courses that include more educational
tours, more practical site visits and more guest speakers from
industry. This market leadership position in the provision of travel
training, is further confirmed by the winning of awards at the
annual New Zealand Tourism Awards.
