Please note that the National Certificate in Travel Level 3 & 4 are a pre-requisite for this course. Additional course related costs are estimated at $500.  This course is delivered in our city location however the 12 week block course for International Flight Attending is held at our Airport campus and students need to make their own way to each location.

Optional International Educational Trip on Advanced Travel Courses
 
  • The educational includes flights ex Auckland, Christchurch or Wellington, accommodation, airport transfers, hotel inspections, and possible sightseeing depending on destination. Estimated extra cost of $1000.00.
  • Excludes departure taxes, meals and insurance and domestic fares within New Zealand if the international departure is outside of the region in which the course is located.
  • Due to Government regulations any overseas field trip cannot be paid for using a student loan or allowance. Students will need to raise finance for these trips themselves. 
  • The cost for any educational depends on where you go and the activities you experience. We would recommend you have at least NZD50.00 - NZD100.00 per day for your educationals. 

 
Entry Requirements

To be considered for a course at Travel Careers & Training you must meet the following minimum requirements:
  • Must be at least 17 years of age.
  • Have a minimum credits of NCEA Level 2 (60 credits) plus NCEA Level 1 (20 credits) OR equivalent unit standards, course of study or work experience deemed equivalent.
  • Have satisfied the pre-requisite requirements for the course you are applying for as detailed under each individual course listed above.
  • Provisional entry may be granted to applicants who do not meet the above criteria but present evidence of ability to succeed (e.g. maturity, life experience, work experience, other study) and are able to show that they are well prepared to study the programme.
