3 Work Experience
Travel Careers & Training include work experience on all the Level 3 and 4 travel courses. This one - two weeks work experience provides you with valuable experience and contacts. Many students have been offered jobs as a direct result of their work experience. To qualifiy for this amazing opportunity you will need to be:
Competent in all unit standards for the qualification you are completing
Maintained an acceptable standard of corporate grooming throughout the course
Completed all required assignments/projects and educational reports allocated to you by staff
Maintained a positive attitude and professional manner throughout the course (refer to the student handbook for a defintion of this)
A minimum of 95% attendance of the course has been achieved
4 Best flight attendant training facilities in New Zealand - with a 737 and a 747 cabin trainer
At our Auckland airport campus there is both a full lenth 737 cabin trainer and a 747 service trainer as well as a raft, slide and fire fighting simulator. All students on our International Flight Attendant Course will get to experience training in this facility as we fly you to Auckland for two days for training. If you live in Auckland then you can choose to be based fulltime at this campus or in the city.
The 737 cabin trainer is a full length cabin trainer with four doors that opena dn close and two overwing exits. It has a PA system and cockpit and allows for 'real life' scenarios to be undertaken. An evacuation slide also ensures students have completed a slide jump as part of an evacuation simulation.
The 747 service trainer has:
First class, business class, and economy class seating with two galleys, trolleys, life jackets and other emergency equipment.
In Wellington and Christchurch there are mock up cabin trainers that have galleys and trolleys as well as emmergency equipment for you to use.
